It it not a problem the drives model. The problem only should be that
you have and older version of the drivers. But if you got no response
of hardware detection that may be internal hardware problems, such bad
connection or burned parts.

You need to find the driver on the Internet. Give me the modem's
company and his model and I will find it to you...
