American-born Italian soul-singer. His peak of celebrity in Italy was
between 1965 and 1970 with hits like Stasera Mi Buto and frequent
appearances on Italian TV show  Thunderbird with singer/actress Lola

Here is a part answer. 

I have found a stack of photos of the funky-looking Rocky Roberts by
using the following search in Google images:
