My wife and I are planning to take our twins (boy/girl Ciaran & Hannah) to New York City in February '05 for a long weekend . As my wife and I have been to NYC before, the weekend is primarily for the children. They are aged 10 years. We are flying from Ireland and will arrive at NYC around 2pm on a Thursday and will fly out at around 7pm on the Sunday. I require the following: Suggestions as to where to go and what to do with 2 10 year olds in the NYC - obviously Ground Zero, Statue of Liberty but I want some child specific ideas. Perhaps a suggested itinerary incorporating the above with a Limo ride as a must. Suggestions on child-friendly hotels (4 Star would be good) and in particular places to eat that the children would enjoy. Suggestions for a current Broadway show would be good also - perhaps for the Saturday night. |

Don't miss the Toys R Us flagship store in Times Square (http://www1.toysrus.com/TimesSquare/dsp_home.cfm). It has a ferris wheel, life-sized animatronic dinosaur and huge giant lego sculptures of NYC landmarks. (Oh, yeah, it also has tons of toys.) Serendipity 3 (http://www.serendipity3.com/), a restaurant which has a lot of kitschy decor and a great dessert menu, should be fun as well. |
