I am using Nokia PC Suite ver 6.01.012 to synchronise
messages/calender etc from my Nokia 6230 Phone and MS Outlook (ver
2000  9.0.0.3821) on my Dell Laptop.
My problem is that having synchronised once, it will not allow me to
synchronise again without re-booting the lap-top- the "synchronise
now" icon fails to function otherwise.
I need to be able to re-synchronise without having to re-boot.
Please advise.

I am using Windows 2000 as my operating system.

Try this.
  * Remove Nokia PC Suite from ur computer.
  * Clear the all registry entries using therd party tool.
  * Reboot ur computer.
  * Reinstall Nokia PC Suite.
