Hi allubobby, The only increase of weight could be during pregnancy, and it is highly recommended to reduce risk of low birth weight. In other cases, Folic acid-deficiency is associated with weight loss: http://www.nutramed.com/nutrients/folate.htm "Folic Acid-Iron Supplements Reduce Risk of Low Birth Weight" http://www.jhsph.edu/Press_Room/Press_Releases/PR_2003/Christian_Vitamin_Supplements.html This is a good link about folic acid in general: https://www.mylifepath.com/bsc/pharmacy/askthepharmacist/browsethearchive/pharmacy_atp_browse_nutrition.jhtml Hope it helps, Lannaeus |
