I am looking for a book I saw in Borders about 6-7 months ago. It is
about the mistakes in Silicon Valley and with Technology companies in
general. It is written by a marketing consultant who lives in the bay
area and who has worked with many of the companies he talks about. He
talks in great detail about Novel, Netscape and several other notable
mistakes. It was a really interesting read, I wrote the name down and
lost it. I have tried to find it since and haven't been able. I would
be grateful if someone knew what it was called. Thanks in advance.

Levendis --

My guess is that it's one of Al Ries' books, most likely the "11
Immutable Laws of Internet Marketing." Here's an Amazon link to a
collection of his works and you'll see the book referenced at the
bottom. You can browse inside this book too:

If this doesn't hit the spot, there are two other noteworthy
commentators on high tech marketing strategy that I'd recommend
looking at. Just let us know.
