I would like to write books about creating website using HTML. Lots of
sample HTML code will be included in the book. Problem now is I would
like to retain the HTML color coding schemes when copying from
Homesite (HTML editor which produce nice color-coding for HTML code)
to Microsoft Words.

Could anyone advise how to get this done as I would not like to
manually add in color using Words font color options.

Or, if someone with the related experience can share with me other
better approach or suggestion when writing HTML sample in book. Any
useful publishing software if any?

Open HTML file with CONTEXT editor, export as RTF file with color
coding included, then open RTF file with MS WORD.

You already have the HTML file. Open it with HTML and then save as
.doc. That's what I do all the time to send presentations to clients
in Word format.

If u want to save Frontpage's HTML contact with the color coding to word.
The best way is
(If u ar using office2003)
open the HTML file & view the html in frontpage->
print (use the Microsoft office doc. image wirter)->now u 'll get a
office doc. image file, you can select the part of the page where u
want to copy to MS word,->right click-> select "copy image"->paste to
word....
or u can use any software to print the page as a image to do it
or use "prt scr"key to copy the page & edit the image then paste to word.
