Has anyone seen other products that are similar to the ?Cognima
Refresh? product? Thanks.

"Cognima Refresh is a new service that improves the user experience
for accessing dynamic content on a mobile phone. Personalised dynamic
content is replicated pre-emptively onto the phone, giving subscribers
instant access to always- up-to-date content - even when out of
network coverage. Users never need to press a sync or download button
to keep their information current - the latest information is on the
phone, even before they know they need it."

Dear Oracle79,
Thank you for the comment. I am specifically interested in solutions
that take over the "home screen" on the mobile phone and display
content, pictures, links etc. This brings the content directly to the
subscriber without him having to go into phone menus, connect to the
internet etc.

There are wap-push solutions out there. What distinguishes the
Cognima-refresh/opera combination from others is that it displays the
content directly on the home screen (the screen that you see when your
phone is on and not doing anything). Have you come across this type
of solution anywhere elsewhere? Links to such companies will be a
sufficient answer to my question.

well its originally an avant-go concept isn't it? then in mobile you
had the user-interface people propose something like this (various
flavours). then you had the browser guys moving into the space--opera
and access. i've seen some other players who provide java/symbian
downloadable storefronts--targeted at the content retailers. and now
nokia with its preminet client.
