Anyone know of complaints of Steinhausen Direct (www.steinhausendirect.com)?

Here's someone who was not happy with the Steinhausen watch he bought:

"Piece of junk.  Got one on eBay.  Took two months to arrive. Then the
winding stem mechanism broke.  Sent it back.  Not optimistic about
refund.

Proudly proclaims to be 'Made in China' on the back.  Quality is worse
than even an average Chinese product."

Another unhappy customer:

"Like so many other people I saw the ad in a airline magazine and
since I am a watch freak I decided to order one. This has proved to be
the worst mistake of my life. The order process was painful (should
have been my first clue) and when the watch arrived it looked cheap
and would not run but a few minutes at a time then it stopped.

So I decide to return it. Another painful experience. This company has
to have the worst customer service department I have ever tried to
deal with. You call the number then get a series of recordings
instructing you to wait. This goes on for a few minutes then you are
disconnected. If you are persistent you will eventually get a person.

When I got the return authorization I was told my credit card would be
credited the same day the watch arrived back to the warehouse. I
shipped it overnight with tracking and it arrived the next day. Since
that time I call every day and am told that they are processing it as
we speak. Interesting that it takes so long to process a credit.

Also, if you look at Motor Trend this month, there is the same watch
with the same story only a different name on the
watch..........BEWARE!"
