Hmmmmm I find this very disturbing ... I wonder exactly what is going on inside the office when all those signs go up in EVERY conceivable language ... And where can it be? YES ... It has got to be the United Nations Building. Am I right, Your Excellency? |

Hi Timespacette.... In my office some people just put "STOP" signs on their office doors. Most people, regardless of their native language , understand that word. Besides, if a person cannot, at least, read *simple* English, what are they doing working there? My 2 cents, Steph53 |

Many years ago at the University of Oklahoma, I had the pleasure of studying under a wonderful professor of classical studies whose passion was Latin poetry. When he was counseling a student in his office, he would place a sign on the door that said "Noli Perturbare." |

Couldn't resist. Vernacular Scottish : Gang awa. Gonni nae fash me. Piss aff the noo. Geeza brek. English : It would be awfully appreciated if one might be not be disturbed at the present, if that meets with your agenda. Best |

greetings . ... . ... and thank you so far especially that Scottish/English juxtapose :-) . . . does a Scottish vernacular for 'please' exist? I like that Latin one! Nothing like a dead language to stop them in their tracks! I assure you, PB, if I worked for the UN, I would support explitives for all 'faren' countries to express the common sentiment PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB collectively to the USA. It would have to be in Americaans, the only language we are able to grasp here between the borders of Canada and Mexico. Like, chill mon, hold the mustard... mon . .. how about some phonetic Japanese? |
