It boots to the point that I can get into cmos and change any
settings.  But it will not read the hard drive. I changed the ribbon
cable two times (2 different ones)one had the missing hole and the
other did not. I am pretty sure it is a setting that is not quite
right.  It also reads the memory just fine. Does not see the cd player
either or the floppy.  I really don't have a lot of money or I would
have taken it to someone. But I do know I have to pay. thanks so very
