The question exists

in both the MS universe
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/downloads/default.mspx

and in the Open Software world
http://www.gnokii.org/faq.shtml

on the hardware and software level.

In the hardware (as taimoorali-ga commented) you can choose
cable or wireless connection and software ussualy comes
with the link or with the phone

For example:
The Sony Ericsson PC Suite is free software that will enhance the
functionality of your Sony Ericsson P910 mobile phone.

The Sony Ericsson PC Suite supports the P800, the P900 and the P910
mobile phones. Release 3.1.1 of the PC Suite is primarily intended as
an upgrade from Sony Ericsson PC Suite, release 3.0.0.

You get more examples link that when you type into a searcg engine:

SEARCH TERMs: sync station PC mobile
                synchornisation, PC, PDA ..
                phone cable,

You will get examples such as
http://www.ciao.co.uk/Siemens_SyncStation_DSC_500_Mobile_phone_cable__5777661

This one has USB cable - good choice if you do not need wireless

It depends on what type of phone you are using and what you are
looking to transfer. Post more details of what you have and what you
are trying to do.

You can use x-ray, blue-tooth or USB to do it.

anonther way, if your phone has the SD card, you can buying a SD

hi darkbrainvnfc-ga,
depending on the compatibility of your mobile and availability
or the descretion by the user you can use on of the various methods
mentioned below....
(i) you can use a bluetooth device or dongle to connect to transfer
data from your
pc to your mobile or vice-versa.(Note:- you must have bluetooth
connecting facility in your mobile.)

(ii) you can also use an infrared device to send data from your pc to your mobile
or visce - versa. (Note:- you must have an infrared port in your mobile.)

(iii) if your mobile phone supports mmc or memory card than you can
use a memory card reader which connects with your pc and transfer the
data into it and than you remove the memory card from the reader and
replace it in your mobile phone.(The present day laptops come with an
inbuilt memory card readers.).

(iv) the fourth option is by using a data cable. (For this you will
require the pc-suite suitable for your mobile phone. it is generally
found in the cd that comes with the mobile.) you can than install that
software and connect your mobile phone to your pc using the data
cable. after all this is done, you can freely transfer any type of
data between your phone and your pc.

with regards,
mohit
