I worked for an injection molding company years ago who installed an
interesting costing method for allocation of costs.  The floor
supervisors, employees and management would all carry badges with
magnetic strips and would be swiped at the machinery to record their
locations during the day.  In what other industries do you think this
type of cost identification would work? Research what other companies
are using - if disclosed - for overhead application and report back
two distinct types.
