I bought an Ipod in the US, it comes with a charger which plugs in to the wall. Can I use that charger in the UK? i.e is there voltage/plug-point compatibility? Thanks |

Hello Ashkrish-ga Yes, you can use that charger in the UK as long as you have a three-pin plug of course! On one of the sides of the charger you should see that it states "Input: AC 100-240V", this basically means that the charger can be used on any mains system around the world that uses a voltage supply within this range. Like you, I also bought a US iPod and I have successfully recharged it with the type of plug that allows an electric shaver to be plugged into the UK mains. This adaptor plug cost me less than a pound at a local electrical store. Link to the shaver plug I used - see WJ1075: http://www.electrovision.co.uk/cat/CAT_PAGE/wj_section/mains_plugs_adaptors.htm The official Apple solution is to use the "World Travel Kit" which can be bought from the Apple store for £29 and includes plugs from around the world: http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/ukstore.woa/ http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/ukstore.woa/90401/wo/fl3ycxHhPahM2mmQr9LAPeFDJMf/3.0.0.9.1.0.6.10.11.0.1.1.1.1.1.1.0.1 If you have any further questions regarding this subject please ask for clarification and I will do my best to respond swiftly. |
