Is restaurant.com legitamite?  Don't the restaurants get mad that
they aren't making any money off your meal?  I want to give 3 $50 gift
certificates and want to make sure everything will be okay. What if
you have a $50 gift card and only spend $40?  Has anybody in the
Syracuse/Utica NY area had good/bad experiences? Thanks

You might want to read the fine print on a restaurant you wish to go
to. Most of the examples I looked at had a minimum you had to purchase
to use the gift certificate such as: Valid with minimum purchase of
$35.  And you can only use one per visit so your $25 certificate is
going to cost you $20 and you are going to receive $35 in food. Plus
the restaurant is figuring that you are going to bring someone with
you so their going to get that money too.  In the long run they are
not going to loose, nor are you. Sounds like a good deal to me! I
already have my eye on a few places and have bookmarked the site.
