When I open my Outlook Express email it now comes up off center so that the right side scroll bar is hidden, and there's a small gap on the left side of the screen that will not "stretch" when I try to drag it to full size. Otherwise, the page is full size. I can just barely click on the Maximize button in the upper right corner and when I do, the left side gap disappears and the right scroll bar comes in view. I've tried the following: right-click OE desktop icon, select Properties; in the Run field, change "Normal Windows" to "Maximized." However, when I select Apply, this message pops up: SHORTCUT. UNABLE TO SAVE CHANGES TO "OUTLOOK EXPRESS 2).INK." ACCESS IS DENIED. I use IE6 and WIN 98. | |

monreale... Excellent! I'm pleased to have been of assistance. Sorry my instructions weren't crystal clear. I'll repeat the answer here for the sake of formality and future readers: -------------------------------------------------------- Rather than stretch the window to the left, my first appoach would be to click on the title bar at the very top of the OE window (not the top edge, but in the area where the title is) and drag the whole window to the left, as needed, to center it. In some cases, you might find that, even though the left side is unresponsive to resizing, if you move the window to the left until the right edge is accessible, you'll be able to resize the window from there. Once you've moved it and resized it to your satisfaction, hopefully you can close it and it will re-open to your new location. Incidentally, the phenomena you describe is sometimes caused by having the Windows taskbar (or any taskbar) on the left side where the gap appears. When you locate a taskbar there, even if you quickly set it to auto-hide, all open windows immediately recede on that side to accommodate the taskbar. -------------------------------------------------------- I didn't research this, since this situation was familiar to me. Best regards... sublime1-ga |
