Where can I get a list of new homeowners in my area?  I have a blind,
shutter, drapery & bedding business, and I need a list of leads. 
Mailing address or e-mail is preferred (for mass mailing. Closing
list? Mortgage list? Tax Payer list? New phone listings? Utility
connections? Cable or Satelite installations? All targeted in in
Denton County, TX 75028 area. Any other recomendations for marketing
are welcome.

These types of new-homeowner mailing lists are available from
commercial sources, and can be tailored to your needs.  The lists
charge about 30 cents per address, though this varies from one firm to
the next.

For instance, I used the following criteria to generate a sample list:

--new homeowners in the past month

--within 10 miles of the 75028 zip code

and came up with a list of 820 names and addresses, that is available
for purchase for $350.

Using a wider radius than 10 miles, or a longer span of time than a
month would produce a larger (and costlier) lists.  On the other hand,
you could easily produce a smaller, more tightly-focused list as well.

Go to your county clerks office, they handle all of the real estate
transactions, go to local title, real estate, and mortgage offices as
well. Ask if you can offer starter packages with their loans,
closings, etc. Give a gift cert. etc.
