It is my understanding (from a perious question you posted) that you

Hard to be sure, but it looks to me as if there is some writing etched
into the sculpture.

You can see it near the base, to the right of the man's extended
forearm (just below the level of the elbow), and below the left
shoulder. It looks to be a date (198?) and an artists name, possibly
beginning the "D".

If anyone can resolve this image better than I can, they may be able
to make use of the information.

Good luck.

This sculpture looks similar to the work of Gustav Vigeland. Browse
through the image search results for comparable works, particularly
the monoliths. The Vigeland museum site provides more information
about the works of this sculptor. Your statue seems to be more modern
but in a similar style. Maybe this will provide some leads for further
searching.

I strongly believe it is in the Caribbean.I think there is scuba
diving nearby. I saw other unrelated pictures with bright tropical
fish, summer clothes and scuba. I now believe all the pictures are
taken at the same place and time although I didnt realize it at first.
The statue is at some tourist spot in the carribean where ther is
scuba diving. The aquatic theme of t5he statue confirms this Thanks

Be assured thats not the case. How could you "track some one down"
from knowing the location of a statue (And one thats probably in
Denmark or some other port of call}> Keep looking Thanx.

I am pretty certain that the statue is not one of Vigeland's, although
I also immediately related it in style to his work. There are
similarities, but his later works in this "compact" style do not have
the polished surface of this statue. But his work could have been an
inspiration for another Scandinavian scultor, and the background could
also be somewhere an Scandinavia.
But it doesn't have to be.
