Hi che1pibe,

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, at the end of the 2nd
quarter of 2005, there were approximately 103 million salary wokers.

"Median weekly earnings of the nation's 103.3 million full-time wage
and salary workers were $643 in the second quarter of 2005, the Bureau
of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today."

But does not that number include both wage and salaried workers? I
presume that "wage" workers are paid by the hour, while salaried
workers are paid by the week or month. The figures quoted above do not
differentiate them.
