Or here: http://www.jacobsenrugs.com/clean.htm If where you live there are any dealers specializing in oriental rugs, they might be able to clean the rug for you. There's also an orgazination, "The National Institute of Rug Cleaners"--certified specialists in cleaning carpets--and you can look for a specialist near you through http://www.ascr.org/institutes/findamember.cfm?institute=nirc |

Hi! I have a very large breed dog who has been a little "challenged" with potty training and accidents. I also have an antique rug, in shades of white no less, which the dog defacated and vomited right in the center of. After 3 weeks of research and trial and error spot testing, I finally came upon a dry carpet cleaner made by Oreck. My main problem with the wet cleaners is that it made me nervous to destroy the fibers. If you have an Oreck store near where you live, or you can go online, take a look at the Oreck dry carpet cleaner, and the No Return cleaner---I'm totally addicted to it to clean carpets, rugs and upholstry. If you also have stains on the carpet, you can rent an orbiter to make the process less work for large areas, but for a small stain, I don't think it's necessary. If you have any questions about the system, just let me know and I'll tell you everything I can about my experiences with it, as sometimes asking the Oreck people turns into a bit of an infomercial. Hope this helps! Jessica |
