statement off with "this is all hear say", but, names the person who
said it, do I have a slander/defamation case against these
individuals?

So if person A says person B made the statement and person B denies it
then person A is guilty of lying under oath, correct. Or, if person A
has a witness that person B did make the statement, then person B
should be liable, correct.

My guess is no.

Person A says the information doesn't come from them.

Person B doesn't necessarily admit to making the claim themselves.

Therefore I don't think you'd have a case against A or B.

it wouldnt be slander, or if the person used the word alledegly
well the def of slander is
In English and American law, and systems based on them, libel and
slander are two forms of defamation (or defamation of character),
which is the tort or delict of making a false statement of fact that
injures someone's reputation. "Defamation" is however the
generally-used term internationally, and is accordingly used in this
article where it is not necessary to distinguish between "libel" and
"slander".
but if you wish to take this furter i would speak to a lawyer
