The best way to totally clean a hard disk on computer was to format c:. But I don?t really have the time to reinstall the drivers, updates, all programs/games, their patches, then all saved files. So I?m looking for a good solid hard disk clean program, and to flush the Operating system clean again, and get rid of bits and pieces left over from old programs and demos. And preferably, not one that does it all automatically. After a year, the computer here is feeling bloated, with rubbish. I use windows XPsp2. | |

summerz1... Thanks for confirming my response as a suitable answer. I'll repost it here in the Answer box for the sake of future readers, and you'll be able to rate it afterwards. -------------------------------------------------- Take a look at CCleaner, and maybe try it out. It works with XP and, though it can be set to run without supervision and remove everything, you can also pick and choose what you want it to remove and what you don't. http://www.ccleaner.com/ -------------------------------------------------- I know about this program from having used it for many years, and having found it effective and reliable during that time. Please do not rate this answer until you are satisfied that the answer cannot be improved upon by way of a dialog established through the "Request for Clarification" process. sublime1-ga |
