The other question is whether it can be upgraded to UMTS? And will it also word with CDMA Carriers? I am afraid that it will only work on GSM Carriers and NOT Verizon Wireless or Sprint. Upgradeability to UMTS is very important! Thank you! Anyone have the Answers? |

The TX 651, which Sony no longer carries on their webstie, was the only model that was not tied, at least in the first instance, to Cingular. What little research I did led me to believe that you could use the 651 with Verizon which is cheaper than Cingular and apparently better. I could be wrong on this. I e-mailed Sony and never got an answer. The 651's are still available. |
