The other question is whether it can be upgraded to UMTS? And will it
also word with CDMA Carriers? I am afraid that it will only work on
GSM Carriers and NOT Verizon Wireless or Sprint. Upgradeability to
UMTS is very important!
Thank you! Anyone have the Answers?

The TX 651, which Sony no longer carries on their webstie, was the
only model that was not tied, at least in the first instance, to
Cingular. What little research I did led me to believe that you could
use the 651 with Verizon which is cheaper than Cingular and apparently
better. I could be wrong on this. I e-mailed Sony and never got an
answer. The 651's are still available.
