It might help if we knew where you encountered the phrase "patience of
Medici." Are you certain of the spelling? I've found this phrase in
only one place on the Web, and it is not explained there.

it may be related to tarot.

As I mentioned, there is only one online mention of "patience of
Medici." If this phrase has meaning, I can't help thinking that either
"patience" or "Medici" is a misspelled word. Where did you hear or see
this term?

Dear Yothay,

I can tell you a little about the Patience of Medici (as in a general
explanation of what it is and from which milleu the term stems: not
Tarot, no "Solitaire" or other card games), but not "how it works". I
can refer you to sources that might have the information, though I am
not sure if they will be willing to divulge the information. If you'd
like this as an answer, please let me know. Since the question is
about to expire, you might need to repost it.

Could it be a reference to the "infinite patience" of Catherine di Medici?

"Patience" is another term for solitaire. Is there a form of
solitaire called "Medici"?
