How does one mix n sounds (voice conversations for conferencing)
together? Assume 16 bit PCM. If A, B and C are single samples, then
A+B+C, (A+B+C)/3 and (A+B+C)/SQRT(3) are all possibilities but don't
sound good under most circumstances. And when summing, the sign (when
a value is negative) can cause strange results.
