Your question is a bit of an oxymoron. Since Vietnam beat (or beat
off) USA, one could argue that Vietnam had military superiority. Yes I
know (some of) the reasons for USA ?strategically? pulling out, but
the proof of the pudding......

Interesting parallel with the American War of Independence. Britain
had putative military superiority and got whapped. America adopted
Guerrilla tactics, which simply wasn?t cricket!
