I am looking for a story that I read a long time ago about a prince
who leaves his palace to live amidst the poor people in the town. He
develops a mentoring program that revolutionizes the city because
of the impact on the lower class. I believe their was something in the
story about tires and a company that makes tires or something like
that.

Was this a true story, or a work of fiction? If it was fiction, was it
aimed at an adult audience, or was it written for children? Was it a
book-length piece, or was it short? Approximately how long ago did you
read it? Any additional details that you might remember would be
helpful.

It was a true story I believe, within a book to describe the
importance of mentoring and the importance of giving someone a reason
to live. I want to say it was a phillip yancey type book, a christian
living genre book. I read it about 10 years ago and it was aimed at
an adult audience.

Thanks for your help.
