I not sure what else you need, but a little background:  I am writing
a novel about WWII and was trying to establish credible character
names.  The city of Linz am Rhein was chosen because it is the sister
city of Marietta, Georgia, USA.  I am aware that the city was
"sistered" after the war but was trying to fictionally bind them.  I
am doing other research from the Marietta side, but wanted to have a
name from the "Old World" to connect with a fictional character in
more present Marietta, hence the "mayor."  If there were other
significant leaders besides a mayorship, they would work as well.

I just received information from the Municipal Archives of Linz am
Rhein. They informed me that from 1939 to November 1944, the mayor was
Paul Wiezorke.
