What are malicious web sites. Are there sites you visit that create a malicious web site. I have been told that celebrity sites can generate a malicious web site. It seems that would not be so, but I need some examples of what a malicious web site would look like. |

Well, malicious websites are sites that attempt to trick you into giving them personal information or they try to install spyware or trojans, viruses, worms.. Things like that. Ususally they are hard to detect so it is important to have a good anti-virus program and keep the definitions up to date. I don't think sites "generate" malicious sites. I think you are confused about that. Some people may try to "spoof" celebrity sites meaning they impersonate them and make you think you are on the real site. Never click on links in spam emails that bring you to sites even if you recognize the URL becuase it is possibly spoofed. If you are giving credit card info etc... to a company make sure it is an encrypted connection, it will show https:// in the front of the URL and if you are using internet explorer it will show a little pad lock on the status bar at the bottom right of the screen. Hope this helps. I am not a GA researcher. |
