When does gadolinium come off patent. Further information re: possible

Gadolinium is an element. Elements cannot normally be patented.

In addition to Magnevist and Prohance, Dotarem and Omniscan are two
other Gd-based contrast media.

Sorry if I was not clear. My question is in regards to when the MRI
contrast agent, called gadolinium generically and Magnevist
(Gadopentetate Dimeglumine) or Prohance (gadoteridol) by Brand name
come off patent and when will generic versions of these compounds be
made available.

I came across this web site too. It is not really clear as to when the
compound will come off patent. I searched the US Patent Office web
site without much success although the Canadian patent office
indicated that it came off patent there earlier this year.

More specific information is required. Thanks for looking.
