I am wasting too much time on the internet. I want to restrict my
internet access to an hour a day and still retain the admin rights to
my computer which has ethernet and wireless. The hour could be
cumulative or at a fixed time each day. Is this possible?
There is probably no good solution so am trying to find best alternative.
Methods of locking are- some type of 3-rd party access control
software solution, some type of entitlement solution.
I don't care about having admin access to the router but this isn't a
great solution because the passwords are easy to reset if you have
physical access.

Since you have administrative access, I can't think of any way to
limit your ability to simply override any lockout you install
yourself.

You could simply cut the connection to avoid all internet access, but
restricting it when you have full control of the system seems a bit
difficult to manage if you aren't willing to simply set your own
limits, perhaps with a kitchen timer or alarm clock to remind you?

Best solution so far is to make changes to router and lock it up. Then
give someone else the key.
