I have non copyrighted DVD that I need to convert to MOV files. I have the newest version of sorenson squeeze 4. The problem is that it can't inport from a DVD. So I need software to move it to a format that I can then use sorenson to convert to MOV. I want something with the BEST possible quality. The size of the file is not important. I have tried to rip to AVI but haven't found one that does a good uncompressed. There is always aliasing or the sound doesn't work. The most important thing is the quality of the images. I want to lose as little quality as possible. This is going to eventually be posted on our website. I know there is going to be a huge loss in quality in mov but I would like as good color fidelity and lack of aliasing or artifcats. The site is geared towards broadband connections. www.partos.com Any help would be much appreciated. |

Check out: http://www.shareup.com/dvd-to-mpeg.html This excellent software rips dvds to high-quality mpeg format which sorenson can convert easily. The image quality of the mpeg is near-perfect. There is a free trial version on this site too. Enjoy! |

Another altenative is using the Divx Codec go to www.divx.com download divx pro codec Then go get this program called virtual dub this will process your VOB/mpeg2 to AVI but this Avi won't have dropped frames because it's using the Divx compress which is pretty good http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/ If you need future instructions let me know |
