I found no case material online regarding the activities of Dr. Somers
as a court appointed guardian therefore it is difficult to tell if he
has been effective at this in the past (assuming he has done this in
the past). From all accounts he appears to be a reputable psychologist
in good standing and by virtue of the fact that he also teaches
psychology at an accredited college, well versed in his field. For
information concerning his past experiences as Guardian ad litem (if
any) I recommend you contact the clerk of the court that has
jurisdiction in your case.
