Hi,

I require data / statistics on the time people spend for looking for
misplaced personal belongings and other small things in their homes or
offices. Specifically I am interested in such statistics for (in
order of importance) Switzerland - other European countries - USA.
Answer should include search time per year (day, month) mentioning
country and year (later then 1995) when the data were collected.
Answer
There is no answer at this time.

Ivan,
I'd rather not know!
The Germans have two sayings:
Ordnung ist das halbe Leben. Orderliness is half of life.

Wer Ordnung hält, ist zu faul zu suchen.
Anyone who is orderly, is just too lazy to look for things.

I hope someone finds your statistics, but I wouldn't trust them, well,
I wouldn't trust the responses of the persons involved.
As a kid, I got in the habit of noting where Mom's glasses were in
anticipation of her question: "Have you seen my glasses?" ;)

Good luck, Myoarin
