Where is Dee Dyne Casteel? In 1983 or 84 her and James Allen Bryant
murdered Bryant's lover in South Florida. The book, "Without Mercy",by
Gary Provost was written about it. She was sentenced to death and sent
to death row in 1987.I found where her sentence was commuted in
1990,but then the trail runs cold .Did she pass away? Exactly what
happened to her? I cant find any reference to her in the Florida Dept.
of Corrections database or anywhere.

For what it's worth, Dee Casteel was in the Broward Correctional
Institute as of around 1999-2000.

From Chapter 3 of "Honey, This Ain't No Country Club: Women Doing Hard Time":

"But according to 61-year-old Dee Casteel, who is serving a life
sentence at Broward for murder, the kind of offender entering life
sentence at Broward for murder, the kind of offender entering inmates
interact."

Perhaps another researcher will be able to determine Ms Casteel's
current whereabouts. Good luck.

She is not listed as an inmate with the Florida Department of
Corrections, so I am assuming she may have passed away. I am still
looking.
