Question ID: 429194
I am looking for a US based manufacturer of quality church products.
The specific one that I have in mind make vestments that are very high
quality and very unusual. They have a very strange name that I cannot
remember. I purchased a pyx from them a few years ago. The pyx is a
octagon shape and made of stained glass. One of the chasuble's they
make is called the st. Patrick, another is styled after the priestly
garb described in the Old Testament. They have a website, I just cant
seem to find it

Hello liamfoley-ga,

Have you looked at the website of Adrian Hamers? They have an
incredible collection of vestments and church furnishings. I could not
identify the pyx or the chasuble you describe in the online catalog.
If this is not the company you're thinking of I have a feeling that
they will probably be able to locate it for you.

Will this meet your needs? I look forward to your clarification.

No, I am familiar with Hamers, they work in the more traditional
style, the one that I am looking for is very contemporary, much more
contemporary.

Do any of these liturgical vestment manufacturers ring a bell? Can you
recall any other details? Can you remember where they're located? Do
they sell through distributors?

Katreen Bettencourt
Meyer Vogelpohl
Clemens Jansen
Wefers
Stadelmaier Nijmegen and Kreation Kevelaer
Dirk Slabbinck and Master Collection

Since you purchased your items years ago, they may have been
discontinued. I've looked through dozens of sites but have come up
empty. I'm afraid I'm stumpted unless you can provide additional
information.

Good luck.

Have you tried Almy at http://www.almy.com/ ? My husband (Lutheran)
purchased his latest cassock and surplice from them and they are
beautiful.
Cokesbury (http://www.cokesbury.com)also has some nice items
Those are the two with the oddest names but there are many church
supply houses on the web.

I found a "St. Patrick" chasuble on the site of Hamel-LeSage Studios,
here: http://www.hlstudio.com/Liturgical/Vestments/St.%20Patrick.html
though I doubt they're the merchant you recall since they don't make
any sacred vessels.
