Hello,
I'm a web development contractor (incorporated). I reside in Texas. I
work for a company in Minneapolis, MN as an offsite contractor. I work
from my own home.

The company I work for asked me to show proof of workman's comp
insurance. It was my understanding that I do not need workman's comp
because I'm the only employee of my own company and i work from home
and offsite! Also I have read before that this insurance is optional
in my case (in TX).

My question:
1- In my case, do I have to have workman's comp?
2- If no, what alternative/proof should I submit to this company to
show I'm exempt (if i am).

thank you
