Question ID: 429580
Can anyone provide me with the chance of a white female dying in each
year from 105 to 110 in the U.S. That is, the chance of dying during
the year 105-106, 106-107, etc. Gov't mortality rates stop at year
100, which does not provide me with information I need.

Actually, I would like the mortality rate for each year from 100 to
110, viz. 100-101, 101-102,...,105-106,..., 109-110.

I found reliable information about mortality rates for women in the
age groups your require, and in fact, up to 120 years of age. However,
I can't break it down by race.

The best source for mortality data is the insurance industry. I found
a fine mortality table with detailed data based on a very large
sample. However, given the issues of racial bias in the insurance
industry, few insurers break out mortality tables by race. At the ages
you seek, the racial difference is not likely to matter much.

Would this data satisfy you?

To vercingatorix....yes I'd be extremely happy with that data not
divided along racial lines, though to repeat, I need it year by year
(and up 120 would be helpful too). I cerrtainly would regard the
question as fully and properly answered!

The table presented below is the 2001 Commissioners Standard Ordinary
Mortality Table (CSO). Life insurance companies use such mortality
tables to calculate the premium to charge for their products. The CSO
table has been adopted by the National Association of Insurance
Commissioners (http://www.tdi.state.tx.us/company/ficso.html) and is
as close to a benchmark as the industry has. The CSO table is created
by our nation's 50 state insurance commissioners. The most recent
revision occurred in 2001.

You can view the table and learn more about it at
http://www.actuary.org/life/cso/appendix_a_jun02.xls

The table ends at age 120, assuming 100% mortality in that year. Here
are the numbers you requested.

% expected to die in a given year
Age	Smoker	Nonsmoker All female
100	28.9%	27.5%	27.6%
101	30.9%	29.8%	29.8%
102	33.1%	32.2%	32.2%
