Can anyone provide me with the chance of a white female dying in each year from 105 to 110 in the U.S. That is, the chance of dying during the year 105-106, 106-107, etc. Gov't mortality rates stop at year 100, which does not provide me with information I need. | |

The table presented below is the 2001 Commissioners Standard Ordinary Mortality Table (CSO). Life insurance companies use such mortality tables to calculate the premium to charge for their products. The CSO table has been adopted by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (http://www.tdi.state.tx.us/company/ficso.html) and is as close to a benchmark as the industry has. The CSO table is created by our nation's 50 state insurance commissioners. The most recent revision occurred in 2001. You can view the table and learn more about it at http://www.actuary.org/life/cso/appendix_a_jun02.xls The table ends at age 120, assuming 100% mortality in that year. Here are the numbers you requested. % expected to die in a given year Age Smoker Nonsmoker All female 100 28.9% 27.5% 27.6% 101 30.9% 29.8% 29.8% 102 33.1% 32.2% 32.2% 103 35.4% 34.9% 34.9% 104 37.9% 37.9% 37.9% 105 41.1% 41.1% 41.1% 106 44.4% 44.3% 44.3% 107 47.8% 47.7% 47.7% 108 51.1% 51.1% 51.1% 109 54.6% 54.6% 54.6% 110 58.2% 58.2% 58.2% 111 61.7% 61.6% 61.6% 112 65.0% 65.0% 65.0% 113 68.1% 68.0% 68.0% 114 72.4% 72.3% 72.3% 115 76.4% 76.3% 76.3% 116 80.5% 80.5% 80.5% 117 85.1% 85.0% 85.0% 118 89.3% 89.2% 89.2% 119 93.5% 93.5% 93.5% 120 100.0% 100.0% 100.0% Just for comparison, here is the table for male mortality: % expected to die in a given year Age Smoker Nonsmoker All male 100 37.6% 36.2% 36.3% 101 39.1% 37.9% 38.0% 102 40.6% 39.7% 39.8% 103 42.2% 41.7% 41.7% 104 43.9% 43.7% 43.8% 105 46.0% 45.9% 45.9% 106 48.3% 48.2% 48.2% 107 50.8% 50.7% 50.7% 108 53.3% 53.3% 53.3% 109 56.1% 56.0% 56.0% 110 59.0% 59.0% 59.0% 111 62.1% 62.1% 62.1% 112 65.4% 65.4% 65.4% 113 68.9% 68.9% 68.9% 114 72.7% 72.6% 72.6% 115 76.6% 76.6% 76.6% 116 80.8% 80.8% 80.8% 117 85.2% 85.2% 85.2% 118 89.9% 89.9% 89.9% 119 94.9% 94.9% 94.9% 120 100.0% 100.0% 100.0% Google search for: ?mortality table? insurance female |
