We are looking for information on the best methods to ship plant seeds around the US to avoid temperature extremes (anything above 95 and below 32 degrees) and high humidity that would decrease the germination percentage of the seeds. Please include not only shipping protocols (refrigeration, air vs. ground etc) but also packaging strategies that could assist in maintaining seed germination percentages. The seeds will be embedded in peat grow plugs and then the plugs will be placed inside a paperboard box. This is a retail product so the look of the package must be considered when weighing packaging options. |
