bgh,
This search certainly brought back warm memories. I lived and worked
in Olde Town, almost 20 years ago. I adored the area, and miss it so
much. IT sure has changed!
I could not find exactly what you asked for, and you did not mention
if you wanted a rental, a time share, or if you planned on purchasing
the condo. Nor did you give me a price range. All real estate in this
area is extremely high. IF you will be working in the area, you may
want to consider more outlying areas, even towards Mount Vernon.

For Purchase:
This was the best information I have come up with. While none that I
looked at specifically mentioned "Loft" or "studio", some have high
vaulted ceilings. This site lists 84 choices in the Alexandria area.
Some are farther from Olde Town than others. I tried pasting the
actual searched results page address, but the link did not work. Click
below, click onto the word BUY , right under the large text "Real
Estate", click onto the word Alexandria, on the left of the map, and
choose "Condos" from the drop down menu. Then select the 2 bedroom
choice, and any other choices you may like. There are many beautiful
selections to see!!

Navegating from the above site, this link DID work for me and lists
two more possibilities.

A beautiful website, though it does not state specifically "Loft" or
"studio" condos. You must be a member to log all the way in, but the
phone numbers are: office (703) 567-2151 and the fax number is (703)
567-1592.

This site lists only one townhome, right in the heart of Olde Town.
but it may be worth the look.
http://www.alexandria-homes.com/

This site contains several apartments in the Alexandria AREA with
lofts....scroll downthe very long page, near the bottom. There are two
listings. (If you use Internet Explorer, go to "Edit" , then "Find on
this page. Enter the word "Loft" and you will be taked directly to the
paragraph with the loft apartments.

Rentals:

On this site, your requirements are entered, and it serves up a list
of available apartments for rental.

I chose a $1500/month rental (middle of the road for the area) and
came up with this site, with many choices :

This site again, gives a long list of studio apartments.

Sure hope this gives you a start in your search for a home in
beautiful Alexandria. Please let me know if you need furthur
information.
