I remember seeing an American film (possibly TV movie), where aliens
are taking over peoples bodies. One chap rejects the takeover by
grabbing a lamp, which I think is broken, and the electricity repels
the alien. I think the film was made in the Seventies, and possibly
is set in a desert town. What is the name of the film?

It could be "The Aliens Are Coming" (1980). I think I remember this
scene too, but I did not find a mention.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm not sure about that one. I'm
looking for clarification about the lamp/electricity thing.

No, it is not Lifeforce, I know that film well. The one I remember is
definitely an American film/TV movie. It was on British TV at least
twice in the 80s. Thanks for the suggestion though.
