I have a question about Medicare reimbursement for inpatient hospital
procedures. Can someone tell me what is the average PPS inpatient base
payment rate for 2006?

Lauren, a little clarification - 
Are you looking for the National Rate (Labor + Non-Labor portions)
plus Standard Federal Rate for capital?  These are the numbers that
are adjusted for the specific hospital's situation, then multiplied by
the individual DRG weight to arrive at a payment.
The three numbers total to about $5,152, but that's not an average, really.
