How can I pre-open 3 windows (Inbox, tasks, dashboard) when I launch
my Outlook 2003?

The way I do it now is to right click on the calendar, tasks folder,
and inbox and do ?open in a new window? on each.

It saves on navigation within OL. It makes the windows taskbar (or
alt-tab) become the switch between these 3 OL screens that I use and
switch between all day.

How can I automatically have OL 2003 open these when it is launched

thanx in advnce,

This site has some useful tips on startup parameters with Outlook:

http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/commandlines.htm

Of interest to you perhaps would be the '/select foldername' switch.

I don't have access to Outlook so cannot test:

outlook /select "outlook:Inbox" "outlook:tasks" "outlook:dashboard"

or

outlook /select "outlook:Inbox" /select "outlook:tasks" /select
"outlook:dashboard"

but either of these may do the trick.
To use switches, at the Start menu, Run command type:

Outlook /switch

Occasionally you'll need to use the full path to Outlook, so the
command line might look like:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe " /switch

Alternatively try creating an Outlook macro (if you have the ability)
which opens the windows you would like to see and then run it on
startup by adding the macro name after the outlook.exe shortcut link.

Hope this helps!
