When will the Blackberry 7290 be available on Verizon?

I called them but they can?t give me an availability date.  Is there
anyway I can get one now?  Or any workarounds to having Bluetooth on a
BB.  I do not like the 7100t, I need a full bb thumboard. Verizon has
the best coverage in my area.  The others are awful.

The 7290 is a GSM/GPRS-only BlackBerry, so it will never be available
on Verizon.  Verizon is a CDMA-only carrier.

Through Bell Canada, there are currently rumors that there will be a
new CDMA device sometime next Spring 2005.  Since both Verizon and
Bell Canada use the same CDMA networking technology, it is safe to
assume that both Verizon and Bell Canada will have the same new model.
 Historically, they have both offered the same models (the BlackBerry
7750, for example).

(Note -- I am a BlackBerry expert, and would have been happy to be an
official Google Researcher, but they are not accepting applications at
this time.)

CDMA versus GSM/GPRS are different cellphone network protocols, and
are incompatible with each other (Mac versus PC .... Playstation2
versus XBox .... etc.)   The below is a list of main North American
carriers and protocols:

CDMA Carriers: Verizon, Bell Canada, Telus
GSM/GPRS Carriers: T-Mobile, Cingular and AT&T, Rogers and Fido
iDEN Carriers: Nextel, Telus
