Also, FAFSA is not really an option because my father's income is too
high. My parents are divorced, and I live with him, but with three
other siblings it is simply not possible to ride his salary through
college (nor do I want to), but it is significant enough to eliminate
any possible opportunity for Government Financial Aid. If I lived
with my mother, who makes substantially less, Government Financial Aid
would be substantially increased but this scenario is not possible.
I am also not _PLANNING_ on majoring in anything like Spanish
Teaching, Foreign Languages, or anything like that, in fact i'm not
sure what I'd like to major in. What I do know is i'm very interested
in learning the Spanish language and culture, as it is increasingly
becoming a necessity in the workplace and the world in general.
I am a dedicated student and would like this opportunity to be
possible. I do work, but I live from paycheck to paycheck as I
provide most of my own necessities (minus housing and food), so saving
up is quite improbable, especially $12,000.
On top of that, I'll need another $4000 I assume for optional expenses
like my Cell phone and other day to day activities throughout the
year. That is a completely rough guess, maybe i'll only need an extra
$2000, but i'd assume that would not be available through any kind of
financial aid or scholarship.
Thanks,
Kevin
