On an Audi A8 1999, can you replace the solenoid pump for the heating
system ( part No 4D0959617c) with one from an older model ( part No
4D0959617 ) and will it work sucessfully

I Have already found that out for myself. Its obvious that Dealers will
not have details on parts that are no longer made( or will not want
to impart such knowledge).I just want to know whether the older part
is compatable and will work in the newer model (1999).

I spoke to several dealers; all of them don't recognize the part #
without the appended "c."

the best advice - buy it, try it, review it, so others know if its
working. hehehhe, remember that google answers is based on internet -
if noone did it, and put info on internet - even the best google
researcher wont find any info on the matter. So... be the first check
iut here http://carpurchase.topcities.com/audi/ for example.
