In the early 90's, HBO had a sketch comedy show called "Hardcore TV". 
From what I recall this was a very short run series (only about a
season, I believe), but from what I remember it was absolutely
hilarious!

My questions is this; How can I go about purchasing this series?  I do
realize that the production company is not planning on releasing it to
DVD, so would there be an alternative method of tracking this down -
of course without having to resort to one of those P2P systems.

  sorry for the delay.  yes, you did the research; and i will accept
this as the correct answer.  thank you for your time.

Thank you for understanding that it takes just as much work to come up
with a negative answer such as this where the show simply isn't
available at this time.

Don't be concerned about any delay, I wanted you to wait a while to
see if any other researcher was able to find something I couldn't
locate. I believe after this amount of time that if there were another
answer someone would have provided it.

time trying to find a copy which doesn't exist.

directed you to one of those, but it is a pretty good indication of
rarity.)

Just wanted to let you know i have all 8 episodes on either VHS or
DVD. the quality is good. it's not perfect.
