You'll have to be more specific as to what you mean by "freezing" and
"boiling". Do you mean to freeze and boil the rock? If so, then a rock
in its solid state is frozen, and a boiled rock is molten. Do you mean
to immerse a rock in another medium which is itself either frozen or
boiled? For instance, water? Ammonia? Other kinds of rock?
