i have a few hundred dollars in ukrainian currency (in cash) that i have left over from a trip there. i want to exchange it for dollars and none of the traditional places does the exchange (i'm not sure why as the ukrainian currency is relatively stable). any ideas of places to exchange money (or any non-traditional ideas) would be really appreciated. |

The current exchange rate for the Hryvnia to the Dollar is $100 = 530.62 Hryvnia. Depending on how much you have, by the time you pay any commissions and fees, if you have less than 500 Hryvnia, it may not be worth the hassle to convert. Plus, the traditional places that swap currencies may steer away from the Ukranian notes as the demand for them is not very high, therefore, if they were to swap such a small amount, THEIR costs and fees to convert back to USD is would be prohibitive. |
