Can a NSF check only presented once to the bank be turned over to a credit collection agency? Can the credit collection agency report the NSF checks to the credit bureaus, even though payment was made to the collection agency? Additonal information: Seven checks were written all for less than $30.00. Checks were written in Nov 25, 1999, and given to the collection agency in Dec 99. The Checking account is still active and in good standing. The checks continue to be reported to credit bureaus. Checks wrote in Illinois. |
